The United Irish Societies
of Montreal Inc. was founded in 1928. Its sole purpose was to put
the Annual St. PATRICK'S Parade on the streets of Montreal.
2008 marks the 184th consecutive PARADE in Montreal. Since
its inception, the U.I.S. has expanded its mandate to include helping
the less fortunate during the Christmas and Easter Seasons by supplying
food baskets, as well as providing and Entertainment Group which visits
many senior citizens in senior citizen residences, chronic care
facilities and hospitals spreading the joy through song, music and
dance.
The U.I.S. must cover many expenses that
accumulate throughout the year, especially those related to the Parade.
Many years ago, the U.I.S. began publishing a souvenir program to help
defray expenses. The support we receive from the Montreal Business and
Multi-Ethnic Communities is greatly appreciated.
We do hope that you continue to assist us
in making the 184th ST. PATRICK'S PARADE
the best event that
Montreal has to offer. |
