Princess
Sandra is 23 years of age. Her maternal ancestry stems from Co. Armagh and the Galway region. She graduated from McGill University in Mechanical Engineering. Sandra recently visited Ireland and fell in love with it. She is currently taking Italian lessons and will soon visit Italy to explore the Italian side of her heritage. She also plans to learn to play the guitar. Sandra is an active volunteer. She worked at the Montreal Re-Adaption Center at Vanier College. She helped organize various fundraisers while at school and volunteered in the library. Sandra also spent time volunteering at international gymnastic competitions and was a volunteer counselor at Visions Camp, which is part of the Federation of Catholic Services. She is currently volunteering at the Yellow Door, an outreach program for seniors. Throughout her life, Sandra has been heavily involved in a variety of organized sports but the one sport she is truly passionate about is gymnastics. She has been teaching gymnastics at the Vainer Super Camp. Her next challenge is to compete in a sprint triathlon. |
Katherine is 24 years of age. Her paternal ancestry stems from Cloyne in Co. Cork, Ireland. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree at Middlebury College in Vermont and completed a joint major in English Literature and Spanish. Katherine is currently in her third year of Medicine at McGill University. She hopes to specialize in pediatrics or family medicine with a focus on maternal-child health. During high school, Katherine did Irish dancing. When studying in the USA she, along with a friend, taught dance steps to interested students on campus. They also assembled a band of Irish musicians that performed on campus and hosted “Irish Week” during the week surrounding the St. Patrick’s Parade. Katherine also plays the cello. Katherine is involved with “Youth in Action” camp at Camp Kinkora in Ste. Agathe. She served as co-director of the camp from 2007 to 2009. She has also been a volunteer counselor for Visions Camp since 2007. Since she was 7 years of age, Katherine has played soccer on various teams including the Junior Varsity Team and several intra-mural soccer teams. She also enjoys running and cycling.

Princess Kelly is 24 years of age. Her paternal ancestry is from Co. Monaghan, Co. Throne and Co. Sligo, Ireland. She has completed an undergraduate degree at Concordia University in Journalism. She also took an Irish Studies class as an elective. She followed her undergraduate degree with a Graduate Diploma from McGill University in Public Relations Management. She was the Game Day Reporter for the Montreal Alouettes’ official web site for three years. She is presently seeking to have a full-time position in her field. Kelly’ hobbies include writing and outdoor activities as well as photograph.
Kelly is most proud to have organized a project called “Mother’s Day Heroes”. She likes to stay as active as possible including working out at the gym.

Princess Chelsea is 18 years of age. Her maternal ancestry is from Co. Mayo, Ireland. The eldest of three girls, she is a graduate of Villa Maria High School and is currently a first year Law and Society student at Dawson College. Chelsea aspires to do an undergraduate degree in education and continue her studies in law at the university level. Her greatest passion is traveling. She has had the opportunity to travel to Greece, Italy, Spain, the Continental United States and the Dominican Republic. She would love to spend her summers abroad volunteering in third world countries. Chelsea has her CPR qualifications and for the past three summers has been a certified national lifeguard working at various pools in the LaSalle area. She looks forward to the upcoming Irish activities leading up to the 2010 St. Patrick’s Parade. |
Princess Kelsie is 19 years of age. Her maternal ancestry is from Co. Wexford in the South of Ireland. She visited Ireland in 1998 and visited the house where both her mother and her uncle were born. Kelsie boasts that her mother Kathie Murphy (1978) and her sister Jessica (2009) were both privileged to be princesses in the Montreal St. Patrick’s Parade. Kelsie is currently in her second year at John Abbott College, studying Social Sciences. In the future, she would like to pursue a career in the tourism industry. During her high school years, Kelsie was involved in organizing Terry Fox Runs. She was also involved in organized sports. The sport she is most passionate about is soccer. She is looking forward to the 2010 World Cup. For the past four summers she has truly enjoyed working as a councilor for the Pointe Claire Day Camp. She is currently volunteering for the “Progressive Bowling League” in Lachine. As well, she enjoyed volunteering for the City of Pointe Claire in their Drug Prevention Week. |
