For many years, the Irish community flag has been raised outside Place Ville Marie a month prior to the annual St. Patrick’s Parade. Members of the Irish community, dignitaries, and guests have paraded in the Place Ville Marie shopping mall to signify that the Irish Season has arrived and that the annual parade is around the corner. This would not be possible without the partnerships developed between the SITQ and the United Irish Societies. The SITQ allows the Irish community flag to fly in place of its own, alongside the Canadian, Quebec, and City of Montreal flags. For this, the United Irish Societies of Montreal is most grateful.
